New Ski Trail Grooming Equipment
We were fortunate to receive a grant from Kenai Mountains Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area (KMTA) that was matched by the donation from local volunteers, Janette Cadieux and Theo Lexmond, for the purchase of new ski trail grooming equipment. This piece of equipment has been put to immediate good use in this particularly snowy winter at the Devil’s Creek ski area. We’ve seen many of you at the ski trails and are grateful for your dollar donations to our volunteers’ efforts to keep the machines gassed up and the grooming happening. The grant has allowed folks to better access the beautiful lands of the KMTA corridor that are adjacent to Cooper Landing and Moose Pass. We are gratified that so many users from all parts of the Kenai Peninsula and some from the Anchorage area have happily skied on these trails. Click HERE for a picture of our new groomer in action.
