In June 2017 a group of engaged, Cooper Landing residents met for a two day workshop made possible by a grant from Kenai Mountains Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area. The workshop produced a guide for the development of trail-side amenities on the Snug Harbor pathway from the start at Sterling Hwy, all the way to Campus Drive (Senior Center), as well as those pathways now in existence such as the trail from Helen Rhode Park, across the Kenai River bridge, to the State Park launch site. The design elements developed will be carried out on all future pathways as well.
